An unfortunate series of events leads to Cecile's partner, fifteen years her senior, having to go ask the future in-laws for her hand immediately after an emergency dental procedure. The already tense situation turns into one big misunderstanding and the strain grows, even though the mother-in-law tries to smooth the edges of the conflict as much as possible. The TV comedy about how a toothache may hamper engagement was directed by Jiří Vejdělek. This is the first of a cycle of four comedy stories by Jiří Vejdělek, which are connected by the theme of unexpected health problems. (Finále Plzeň)

For a comedy, it's hardly funny, and as a relationship drama, it's terribly thin. Eight years after Wisdom Teeth, Marek Epstein returned to teeth as the backdrop of the story, but it wasn't the same. What about evidence in the form of a medical report from the emergency room? What about nodding or shaking your head in response to police questions? I won’t nitpick further and instead suggest what could have been different. In place of Miroslav Hanuš's stubborn green gum, Roden could have played Captain Tůma, who, with senile dementia, doesn’t recognize Private Kouba. And for the screenwriter, it would be another return, this time to BrainStorm.
