Boris (Aleksey Batalov) y Verónica (Tatyana Samoylova) son dos jóvenes moscovitas profundamente enamorados que se ven obligados a separarse cuando estalla la Segunda Guerra Mundial y Boris es llamado al frente como voluntario. Boris y Verónica no pueden despedirse pese a que la separación será mucho más larga de lo que ellos dos piensan. After the Second World War, and especially after Stalin's death, the Russians once again delved into making films that were truly worth watching. This romantic story has incredibly beautiful cinematography, but the story is also beautiful. It has a touch of realism, yet patriotism persists, although it's definitely not a strongly socialist film. That's why it's worth a watch.
