inglés Unbelievable! I didn’t expect to get so hooked within the first five minutes, but here we are. Netflix really pushed this one hard, and it was impossible to escape the buzz. And honestly, it’s the kind of story you couldn’t make up if you tried. The main guy reminded me of those charming, adventurous con men from the turn of the 20th century — one lie after another, living like a king, and somehow always slipping through the cracks of the law. The fact that he used Tinder, a modern-day convenience, to scam dozens of women around the world makes it even crazier. But what's truly mind-blowing is that he’s still out there, living his lavish life, as if nothing ever happened. That absurdity is what sticks with you the most after watching this documentary. ()

inglés Another excellent true crime documentary from Netflix that definitely deserves your time. The makers of Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer, one of my favorites, serve up another imaginative documentary with a cinematic look and it's a blast. The story centers on an Israeli con man who poses as a diamond company tycoon and very intelligently and deviously "steals women" on Tinder. It's a brilliant crime, you might say, brilliantly thought out and thoroughly constructed, for which he doesn't face much punishment while living like a king. On the one hand, a bastard, on the other, I like how much work is behind it all. He was quite attractive to women not only because of the money (vacations, cars, 5-star hotels, clothes, parties, etc), but he was also a gentleman, represented dominance, knew what women wanted to hear, and was also a consummate manipulator and seducer, so business was good. He also managed a revenge against three girls who decided to go against him. I like the fact that real footage (videos, photos) are used as well, and in places the documentary is decently suspenseful, intense and nicely paced. It also has great music – who would expect that in a documentary. It's a very gripping and suspenseful thing where boredom is definitely not an option. This is a good one. Story 4/5, Action 0/5, Humour 0/5, Violence 0/5, Fun 5/5 Music 5/5, Visuals 4/5, Atmosphere 4/5, Suspense 4/5, Emotion 4/5, Actors 4/5. 8/10. ()

inglés Every now and then, I check out the documentary section on Netflix, and I’m really glad I chose this film full of intriguing material. I’m familiar with the Tinder app, though I don’t use it actively. I can definitely imagine that there are countless scams happening on it. It’s worth noting that this particular case stands out from the rest because such a well-organized plan is rare. From a technical standpoint, I have no complaints about this film. It also provides a wealth of factual information. I was most surprised by the third woman who decided to take action against the scammer and make him pay back with interest. Thanks to her and her anonymous tip, he was eventually caught. However, as a viewer, I couldn’t believe how lenient his sentence was. Such a small punishment doesn’t really deter people like him from committing similar scams (they should have made an example out of him). The Tinder Swindler was very engaging. For me, it’s 8/10. ()
