Un joven Hoops McCann (John Cusack) ha terminado el instituto y ahora aspira a ser admitido en la Escuela de Arte y convertirse en escritor de cómics. Su amigo George (Joel Murray) le invita a pasar el verano con él, en la isla de Nantucket. Allí conoce a un grupo de amigos con el que vivirá locas aventuras, sumado al encuentro con Cassandra (Demi Moore), una joven que intenta salvar la casa de su abuelo y que es perseguida por una banda de moteros. Human cannot help but wonder what kind of nonsense he missed in his youth, only to return to it after who knows how many years and still enjoy it. A crazy summer is an unbelievable madhouse, but Bobcat Goldthwait is brutal and Demi Moore plays the main role beautifully, so there is always something happening and even though the film has many deaf spots, those dialogues simply often bring you back to earth like crazy. And not just the dialogues...
