La autopsia (E03)

La primera historia conducida por un personaje simpático (interpretado por el carismático F. Murray Abraham) y el primer episodio completamente satisfactorio que logra capturar maravillosamente la atmósfera de las historias literarias de ciencia ficción y terror de la década de 1950. Después de La autopsia de Jane Doe, otra excelente película de terror procesal de la sala de autopsias, y esto solo sucederá aquí en la segunda mitad. Hay que seguir a David Prior en el futuro. This is where Cabinet of Curiosities truly shines again. "The Autopsy" is an outstanding episode, maintaining the high quality of the previous two while offering something a bit different. The story unfolds on an autopsy table, with a doctor examining bodies from a mine explosion. The nocturnal atmosphere is so intense that you could hear a pin drop at your dinner table, even through two thick walls. F. Murray Abraham is brilliant, carrying the episode on his shoulders. The ending is quite intense, with a practical rather than shocking twist. (07.11.2022)

The absolute king among all episodes. An episode where the atmosphere is so thick you could cut it with a knife. It's perfectly directed and brilliantly handled in terms of the script. An episode that shocks you a few times. An excellent piece that I'll definitely revisit. David Prior and David S. Goyer truly shone! Luxurious. For me, it's a 9/10. P.S. And those practical effects? Guillermo del Toro is the best :). (26.11.2022)
