inglés Delon, a released prisoner, is harassed by the paranoid Commissioner Goitreau, and the dispute, which at first seems subtle, escalates to unsuspected proportions. The character of the commissioner, played by Michel Bouquet, is one of the most repulsive and annoying creatures ever to appear in a film. The film's dark climax is unforgettable, comparable in emotion and tone to Robbins's Dead Man Walking. ()

inglés France in the 70s and 80s was able to do incredible tricks with movie fans. Two men in the city are in fact a beautiful story, perfectly narrated relationship between a former thief and a police commissioner, which is wonderful to watch. That is actually what the French did best. To narrate such a story, beautifully, harshly, sadly, but truthfully and humanly. This film even helped me to really fall in love with the acting performance of Alain Delon and Jean Gabin, and for me, Jean Gabin will no longer be just a tattooed. ()

inglés One of the fifteen best French crime films. It's a shame that among the other fourteen, it's rather cowering at the back. PS: I cannot refrain from remarking that, although I do not share the actions of Commissioner Goitreau, who is being condemned here, I fully understand them. ()

inglés Definitely Delon's best film, one of Gabin's best and probably the most successful French crime film ever. A film that you see once, twice, three times and still can't get enough. Two Men in Town makes you think about yourself and the society you live in... even though it can give you chills. ()

inglés Two acting greats in a story so real and sincere that it gives you chills. The first half is a bit tedious and uninteresting, but the second half makes up for everything and captures the viewer's attention in a truly unprecedented way. The emotionally strong ending is admittedly the only one we really desperately don't want, but it only adds to the overall feel and impact of the film. 80% ()

inglés What can I say about this film? It’s an immensely powerful drama about how things can also go downhill for a person when they make one mistake and then just have bad luck. Should one get a second chance? Does he deserve it? And how bad is he compared to those who chase after him just because of that one mistake? Gabin and Delon are great here. ()
