En un momento de cobardía, el detective Carl Mørck envía a Rose, su compañera más joven en el Departamento Q, a la remota isla danesa de Bornholm para responder a las reiteradas peticiones de su antiguo colega Christian Habersaat. Sin embargo, durante la ceremonia de su jubilación forzosa, sucede una inesperada tragedia. At times, it resembled an episode of Monk, but after the run-ins with the Roma gangster Godla, "Q" is back on the rise and fitting into the right crime genre parameters emerging from the shadows of the past. The weakness for overly pushed action-packed finales is of course present, and at times it was almost amusing. For instance, who didn’t think it would be a good idea to turn on the windshield wipers during one of the car-and-cliff shots?
