Sinopsis(1)

At times it felt more stupid, more annoying and more naive than the recent Legion, but whenever Christopher Walken appears on screen, the quality goes up. His mischievous archangel Gabriel is absolutely great. Good average overall that won’t take your breath away but won’t piss you off, either. ()

inglés The Prophecy is a very disorienting and complicated, yet very good horror film led by the excellent Christopher Walken. It's definitely the most interesting depiction on the subject of angels, but I liked the more action-packed Legion a bit more. Still, the film is worth seeing. 60% ()

inglés “Study your math, kids. Key to the Universe…” Is Walken’s character a madman who thinks he’s a crow? Is he planning to exclude someone? Or does the strange posture indicate that we have the archangel Gabriel here? Every now and then, an impressive scene or moment appears, but otherwise, this disjointed religious tale suffers from an inability to maintain atmosphere and sometimes even coherence. Clearly, Jackson hadn’t seen it before filming The Lord of the Rings films, or he would have re-cast them. Eric Stoltz would have been Aragorn, Viggo Mortensen Denethor (even with that blood-red smeared face), and bald Walken would have made a great Gollum, without the need to use CGI.
