(KVIFF 2024) I chose this film by Leos Carax's as the last one of this year's Karlovy Vary festival, without ever having seen the work of this filmmaker who "paints" his self-portrait in It’s Not Me. Actually, he does paint – no need for quotation marks – as he imaginatively plays with the image and offers various scenes during the forty minutes. In this case, I don't mind not riding a similar wave as the creator, as I enjoyed this show of paintings that was meant to answer the question "Where is Leos Carax now?" I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sometimes you just have to see, and not understand! ()
