inglés Set in a quaint Irish town with missing people, a touch of mysticism, and a crew filming a podcast, Bodkin has a great premise. It instantly reminded me of Only Murders in the Building, which got me excited. This show seemed right up my alley. However, even a great concept can fall flat, and unfortunately, that's the case here. Across seven episodes, not much happens. The daily lives of people in the small Irish town aren't particularly engaging. There are a few laughs, but nothing that really stands out or excites. Bodkin squanders its fantastic premise with mediocre execution. It's a show that could have been noteworthy but ends up being something you'd watch in the background while cooking Sunday lunch. ()

inglés I wasn't expecting much from this series, and after the first two episodes, I felt pretty underwhelmed. But then, by episode three, things started to click. The story grabbed my attention, and I found myself really enjoying the quirky trio at the center. The pacing picked up, and I loved how it balanced serious moments with that unique Irish humor. Even from the pilot, though, I was hooked on the Irish English — it just added a great flavor. Sure, the show had its fair share of logical hiccups, but they didn't bug me too much. Despite the creators' slip-ups, I had a surprisingly good time watching it. / Lesson learned: Eel trafficking is a thing. Who would've guessed? ()
