inglés The life story of a famous English monarch and his numerous wives is understandably an enticing subject for film, especially considering that he is well-known not only in Britain but worldwide, making it a commercially attractive endeavor that allows for a high budget. At first glance, nothing resembles this being a television production. It is a grand affair, sparing no expense on knightly armor, exteriors, or interiors. We even witness a knightly tournament. Additionally, the casting, led by Helena Bonham Carter, is a draw for film fans, logically getting the most space in the script. However, the script is the biggest weakness. It is predictable and caters to all the legends and notions created about this character. It even includes the cliché final farewell of the dying Henry to his son with the necessary advice. Nevertheless, due to its undeniable entertainment value, I give it 4 stars. Overall impression: 70%. However, I would assign the film's drawbacks to the unnecessarily gory details of executions, including blood splattering on the onlookers... ()
