inglés A humdrum conscription piece for the US military. Everything is just mediocre standard and so the only plus here is the charismatic performance by James Franco. Too bad that he had no acting to do... It is a great benefit for Annapolis that toward the end it veers from the boring first year induction storyline and begins to concentrate on the boxing element. That is mediocre too, but at least something happens. Average and bearable to be watched once only - this is exactly what this movie offers. ()

inglés What brand of shaving foam does Major Harmon Rabb use? How long does Casey Ryback take to chop six medium-sized leeks? Mississippi doesn’t know much about theory, so he channels his stubbornness into preparing the overwhelmed Arkansas, wrestling in the ring, and dealing with a commanding officer who looks like she just graduated. Is James Franco's blank expression due to the horn, or did something fall on his head while welding in the shipyard? Jordana Brewster is a boxing coach straight out of a bad joke, and Tyrese Gibson looks like Chong Li from Bloodsport while he’s at it. All of this is more so laughable, but the poorly shot and edited matches between the ropes are absolutely annoying. The US Navy has distanced itself from this portrayal, and I also recommend it to those who don’t need the tired genre clichés. ()
