Sinopsis(1)

Frankie Dunlan is a depressed Vietnam veteran facing disturbing memories of his experiences during wartime. Now back at home in an urban combat zone, his nagging wife, mutant baby, and filthy slum-level apartment aren't helping matters. Driven to the brink of sanity, he decides to rid his neighborhood of its depravity by battling the lowlife with guns, guerilla warfare and the hand-to-hand combat he used in Southeast Asia. español Combat Shock es un drama de terror que recuerda a una mezcla muy sucia y desagradable de El cazador y Cabeza borradora, y con una trama escasa, actores amateurs y música ochentera bizarra. ()

inglés An interesting film and a beautiful example that with Troma, it wasn't just about spectacle but sometimes also about substance. True, this isn't a Kaufman work, which is why it's not as wild or offbeat. This is a very powerful spectacle about how war truly changes a person. Yes, it's somewhat reminiscent of Jacob's Ladder, with elements found in other similar films, but that's not a problem at all. Thanks to its rawness, this one is again a bit different and very intense. Moreover, I probably won't be the only one reminded of Lynch and his film Eraserhead due to the child and dysfunctional marriage theme. ()
