The opening with the children is excellent; it's a shame it didn't last a bit longer because it had potential. I would have liked it if there were more of that. But even the romance in this war drama, which isn't very brutal or dramatic, works quite well. I know I'm a bit obsessed with the Duke, but he simply elevates even a rather ordinary film. And besides, he chose great partners, or they were chosen for him. ()
