La casa sperduta nel parco

Que va, Alfred Hitchcock era cien veces mejor. Como thriller, es absolutamente imposible, aburrido, con malos actores, un guión poco imaginativo y forzado, y cero estilo visual (es incomparable, Dario Argento es de oro). Pero eso era de esperar del cineasta basurero italiano Ruggero Deodato. Lo que me sorprendió, sin embargo, es que la película no es más que un thriller y hay un mínimo de sangre y ninguna violación. En lugar de la sensación de incomodidad que me produjo Holocausto caníbal de Deodato, me aburrió descaradamente. La navaja del pervertido explora todas las curvas del completo elenco femenino, pero nunca pasa nada. Y ese «sorprendente» remate final... ¡Dios mío! (05.04.2003)

House on the Edge of the Park isn't a film that greatly impressed me, but I did think Deodato did a fairly good job structuring it, using plot elements to keep the viewer, at least seemingly, in suspense. However, the film is quite straightforward because you know something bad is going to happen from the beginning scene. The final twist doesn't really move the film forward and doesn't change the overall tone much. (28.06.2014)
