Sandy es una madre de dos hijos, guapa y sexy, que acaba de cumplir los 40. Vive en el bonito barrio residencial de Sleepy Hollow y ha logrado dominar el arte de la multitarea: prepara pasteles, hace sándwiches, deja a sus hijos en el colegio y se ocupa de su liga fantástica. Su mundo aparentemente perfecto se viene abajo una mañana cuando descubre que su marido la engaña. Sobre la marcha, coge sus cosas y a sus dos hijos y se traslada a la ciudad de Nueva York, para buscar trabajo y empezar una nueva vida. Allí, conoce a Aram Finkelstein, un encantador licenciado universitario de 24 años que está pasando por un momento difícil de su vida. Acaba de descubrir que la joven francesa con la que apenas hace dos semanas que se casó en realidad lo engañó para casarse y conseguir así el permiso de residencia. A este chico romántico y optimista, ahora recién divorciado, le cuesta encontrar motivos para seguir teniendo fe en el mundo. (Aurum Producciones)

Compared to Prime, I missed someone like Meryl Streep here, but I still don't regret spending an hour and a half on this American romantic comedy. I liked the cast, I liked a lot of the scenes and I actually laughed at many of them. And I can say that compared to many romantic comedies, this one had a really well handled ending. In short, a nice and light mood-boosting movie that may smack of cliché, but what doesn't these days. P.S. The scene that got me the most was the one where Aram is reading Harry Potter while Sandy tells him she's pregnant.

It's quite a pleasant spectacle. Nothing surprising happens in it and everything develops exactly as you expect, but thanks to the likable actors who really fit together and some really funny moments, it doesn't even matter. Moreover, I was pleased with the (sort of) open ending.

For the first time in a long time, a film that pleasantly surprised me. Catherine was indescribably divine. Justin Bartha's character perfectly set the film up where it needed to be. I'm really impressed with how the filmmakers made a non-everyday story into a non-everyday and original film. Kudos to the child actors as well... fun performances. For me number one, absolutely.
