(Morelia International Film Festival)

If Under the Salt partially works, it is mainly thanks to the effort of the director. It is my guess that Mario Muñoz tried to draw attention to his existence as a representative of American studios. The animated thriller inserts are impressive, but the screenplay only recycles genre motifs that have been used many times, lacks logic and sophistication, and sometimes unnecessarily panders to the viewer - was it necessary to introduce the protagonist as a stripper dancer and prostitute? At first glance, it is an acceptable film but it definitely does not stand out from the genre average. Overall impression: 55%. ()
