Transformers 3: El lado oscuro de la Luna

Otro fantástico evento de autopista que se está convirtiendo en la marca registrada del director más confiable. Los Marines, volando imponentemente siguiendo el modelo del vuelo de Hong Kong del Dark Ranger, y el infierno de acción final en Chicago son puro placer de acción. Esta vez, también inusualmente clara, para ser trabajo de Bay. Sin embargo, el resto del metraje, al menos la mitad de la película, no tiene humor, es aburrida y, a veces, más molesta que nunca. El personaje de Malkovich es una gran monstruosidad, y ver a Frances McDormand y John Turturro como hacen idiotas de sí mismos, eso ya es demasiado. ¿Y de qué mini producción de televisión sacaron a Patrick Dempsey y Rosie H.-W.? Megan, te echamos de menos. Estoy seguro que iré al infierno por darle a los terceros Transformers las mismas estrellas que a Melancolía de Trier, pero qué le voy a hacer. Michael Bay es una rata comercial talentosa, leal al ejército de los EE. UU., al gobierno de los EE. UU. y a corporaciones sin escrúpulos, y al mismo tiempo encarna la brillantez reluciente y la insuperabilidad técnica de Hollywood. Si le quitamos la cámara, ¿a quién vamos a odiar y admirar al mismo tiempo? (30.06.2011)

Una demostración perfecta de demencia absoluta que no tiene ningún sentido. Afortunadamente, esto no se ve por los diálogos o la lógica, sino por la masturbación informática tecnológica y la posibilidad de disfrutar de las escenas de acción, que vuelven a ser fantásticas. Los primeros veinte minutos son buenos, la última hora es una pasada, pero la hora de algodón que hay entre esas dos partes es totalmente aburrida. Así pues, el primer Transformers sigue siendo la mejor parte de la trilogía. (02.09.2011)

Michael Bay plays horribly on effects and I don't blame him for it. In the cinema, some scenes from this movie had to be a real blast. But apart from those action scenes, it was such a mess that maybe it's not equal to any other. Besides, everyone there seemed to behave like a jerk. In the first one, it was still manageable, but this was really crazy. I like blockbusters, but Transformers just aren't for me... (07.08.2012)

I will divide Transformers 3 into three parts: 1) the dialogues, 2) the action set pieces (the motorway and the skyscraper), and 3) the remaining filler. Thumbs up for 2), but for 1) and 3) Bay deserves to have his ass kicked. Otherwise, I hope that this third part puts an end to this insult to science fiction (yeah, I know, I don’t have to watch it, but as a sci-fi fan, I was again unable to listen to the warnings that said: “Don’t watch this bullshit!”). What have I learned this time thanks to Hollywood? 1) There is no negotiating with enemies; enemies get shot. 2) If you have the screenplay for a sci-fi C-movie, not even a 200-million-dollar budget will help you. Leave a bit of that out and this would be so bad that it’s actually entertaining. That’s a shame. The less polished War of the Worlds now looks like the sci-fi action movie of the year. The positive: LaBeouf, some of the action scenes, Bay’s absurd fondness for shiny things costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. The negative: everything else. 55% (27.06.2011)
