inglés I decided to finally give this series a shot after seeing one of its actors at Comic-Con and hearing all the buzz and great ratings. However, after the first season, I wasn’t impressed. The lead singer of My Chemical Romance created his own "superhero" project, but with so many similar shows out there, it’s hard to stand out. Even though the filmmaking quality is evident, I couldn’t really connect with the characters' actions. It's a darker young adult series that will likely appeal more to a younger audience with its cool style. For me, after watching so many similar shows and movies, it just didn’t shine. ()

inglés A superhero series where the main characters use their powers minimally. It has a decent concept and unusually weird characters with even weirder villains that didn't sit well with me at all. Story-wise, the series is engaging and there are a few unexpected twists and turns, but what disappointed is the distinct lack of action and the slower pace. I finished the last episodes more out of obligation than with enthusiasm. Disappointing. Favourite character: number 5. 60% ()

inglés After what they did in episode six, I wanted to bite the creator in anger, but on the other hand, I laughed at the cynical joke for quite a long time, and from this episode until the end, Umbrella Academy didn't have a single mistake. Not that it was missing anything from the start, but it really stepped on the gas in the second half. This series has made me very happy mainly with how different it is, how strange it is... And how the otherness and weirdness endured to the very end. As in the book, there are a lot of things going on here, but it doesn't mean you will get an explanation right away. Just like in the book, the characters here are superbly incongruous, full of their own traumas, with complicated interrelationships... When they want to, they entertain you, they make you feel, and there's no shortage of surprises. And for those who know the books and are looking forward to Poga... Go ahead and look forward! ()
