I wasn't sure what to expect from a children's movie that is nearly eighty years old. Well, in the end, I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. This is a film that isn't necessarily nice or pleasant, but it has intense moments that really work. That's its immense strength, along with the acting performances that have sustained it to the present day, keeping it still compelling. ()
