It has a couple of nice sequences and ideas, but overall it’s hurt by the fact that most of the humour is repeatedly based on the idea that “LARP is a bit cringe, but also quite cute fun”, which gets boring. The battle with the rubber cushion at the end is just cringe, unfortunately. Cute, not even by chance.

A LARP that is too realistic and too bloody, but as a comedy. It doesn't have the comedic quality of Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, but it's still quite entertaining. The music is energetic, the characters are pleasantly dim-witted, and even if LARPing means nothing to you, there are moments here that can grab your attention. The special effects are good, but certainly not excellent. That is generally the case with the entire film. There is humor in it, but it's not the kind that knocks you off your feet. More jokes and it would be an absolute blast.
