Season one: Abrams took his favorite ingredients from Lost and mixed them up into a slightly more traditional offering where we are introduced to a new murdering psychopath in each episode. Some are more memorable than others, but most important is the pretty well-cast team. The excellent Sam Neill acting is on a higher plane, and he’s given the room to do it. I was pleasantly surprised by Sarah Jones and, gone astray from Lost, Jorge Garcia isn’t any different here. The plot doesn’t thicken much until the finale, but it’s worth the wait. A gourmet chase around San Francisco with strong references to Bullitt. The final crucial secret and the ending beeeep had me moaning that damn! it’s the end again. What year is it? ()
