inglés The great-grandfather of Howard Wolowitz and inventor of Clark Kent glasses, Christian easily vaults to the podium in the all-galactic competition for sleaziest movie character since forever, succeeding Star Wars: Episode II's Hayden Christensen. As soon as I heard the line "… because I stopped talking to you with words, but started talking to you with my heartbeat" all the walls had been breached and I spent the rest of it in the fetal position on the edge of my chair, biting my nails. Btw, if you have the slightest trace of feminist sensibilities, you're gonna have a bad time. ()

inglés Another great example that Czechs made truly excellent films, whether just comedies or, in this case, a romantic comedy. It's entertaining, but it's also clever, which is unique in today's times. We Czechs no longer know how to make such comedies, and I feel it's partly because we simply don't have any interesting actors today. ()

inglés Kristián is one of the few Czech comedies of the 1930s that I have seen, but it is a very good and engaging film that can appeal to today's audience - especially with its likeable cast and intelligent humour, which is of a high standard and does not feel awkward or annoying. Also, the story and the plot are not from generic and make a solid impression. In short, it is one of Martin Frič's many comedy pieces that will not be lost in his wide range of films of varying quality. ()
