Sinopsis(1)

US TV drama which follows a married couple assigned to spy for the KGB in Washington D.C. Set during the early 1980s when the Cold War between Russia and the USA was reaching boiling point, the programme follows Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) as they attempt to juggle the usual suburban responsibilities of childcare and socialising with the less conventional demands of managing informants, transmitting highly sensitive information and attending clandestine meetings. Season 3 (2015) (S03)

inglés An awesome season. Everything worked perfectly, the writing was excellent, the whole season maintained a great atmosphere and suspense, and I looked forward to each new episode. If I were to single out a performance, it would surely be Alison Wright. Martha Hanson gets better and better with each episode. I know I'm supposed to be caught in an inner struggle since I like Phillip and Elizabeth who are the main bad guys, but being who I am, I can’t be bothered by that and root for them anyway. An obvious villain and slimeball for me is Pastor Tim. ()

EST Men (2015) (S03E01)

inglés The creators dive straight into action, while also addressing unresolved issues from previous seasons and delving into character relationships. I thoroughly enjoyed it. So far, so good! ()

Baggage (2015) (S03E02)

inglés The second episode was quieter, but it still had a lot to offer. The atmosphere in the suitcase packing scene was downright chilling, and the situation with Paige is causing some serious tension in the team. Even though the action from the first episode was missing, the creators managed to maintain a good amount of suspense. ()

Open House (2015) (S03E03)

inglés A brilliantly crafted episode defined by two words: atmosphere and tension, both executed perfectly. I like to think I can handle quite a bit on screen, just like in real life, but I have to admit, the dental scene really gave me mixed feelings. ()

Salang Pass (2015) (S03E05)

inglés Wow, five episodes into the third season and I’ve given each one five stars. The creators have nailed the tension and atmosphere perfectly so far. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. ()

Born Again (2015) (S03E06)

inglés Wow, this is getting weird — I seriously can’t find anything to criticize. Maybe if I really tried, I’d find something, but I’m enjoying the show so much that I don’t even want to. The episode barely had any action scenes, but the plot was so engaging that I didn’t even mind. ()

Walter Taffet (2015) (S03E07)

inglés Another excellent episode. The action was saved for the end, making it all the more intense. What's even more impressive is how well the non-action scenes work. The dialogue is so well-written that every line is captivating. ()

Divestment (2015) (S03E08)

inglés Once again, I'm predictably giving this episode a full five stars. I know, it's getting a bit repetitive, but I can't help it. It's not just the ultimate reckoning for the apartheid collaborators that drove my rating, but also the consistently gripping atmosphere, especially around the investigation of the bug in Agent Gaad's office. Plus, Alison Wright's performance as Martha keeps getting better with each episode. ()

Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep? (2015) (S03E09)

inglés Here we go again. Nothing groundbreaking happens, yet I couldn't find a single dull moment. It's incredibly well-written, and the scene with Elizabeth and the elderly woman could have easily been drenched in gallons of sentimentality, but thankfully, the creators avoided such nonsense. Instead, it sent chills down my spine. Absolute satisfaction. ()

Stingers (2015) (S03E10)

inglés The already stellar series gained a whole new dimension with just one revelation. As I've said before, there's minimal action but plenty of tension and an incredible atmosphere. Hats off to the writers; season three has set the bar really high. ()

I Am Abassin Zadran (2015) (S03E12)

inglés Now that Paige knows their true identities, Phillip and Elizabeth must be looking forward to any tough mission just to get out of the house. I had a great time watching this episode. The hotel scene was a masterclass in manipulation. ()

March 8, 1983 (2015) (S03E13)

inglés A lot happened in this episode, even if there were no groundbreaking events. Everything that transpired will clearly have a significant impact moving forward. And that ending? Pretty sneaky from the creators — now we have to wait a whole year to see what happens next! ()

Season 4 (2016) (S04)

inglés I have nothing but praise for Season 4. Granted, the previous season was a little better, but this one had a lot going for it too. The suspense and great atmosphere were still there. I was also pleased with Paige getting more screen time. Her emotional confusion spices up the plot. On the other hand, I'm sorry that some characters I've come to like have disappeared and, as the final episode hinted, more of them will follow suit. Anyway, I can’t wait for Season 5. ()

Glanders (2016) (S04E01)

inglés A solid episode, but something was missing for me to be completely satisfied. It didn't have the punch I expected after the previous season. Maybe it was the slightly slower pace. I'm hoping for more from the next episodes because the biological weapons storyline has a lot of potential. ()

Pastor Tim (2016) (S04E02)

inglés The show is back on track. The tension has ramped up nicely thanks to Paige and the glanders. It's tough being a spy for an enemy power under these conditions without cracking. The creators continue to follow all the ongoing storylines, so the plot never feels monotonous. ()

Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow (2016) (S04E03)

inglés This episode kicked off two major crises, and just when it seemed the family-church drama would be the worst, well... I thoroughly enjoyed this episode; it was captivating from start to finish. William's reaction during the park meeting had me in stitches. ()

Travel Agents (2016) (S04E07)

inglés In this episode, all efforts are focused on achieving a single goal from one side, while the other side works to thwart these efforts. Alison Wright, playing Martha, absolutely steals the show with her outstanding performance. She made the episode incredibly enjoyable for me. Plus, there's an important takeaway from the storyline: if you come to a conversation armed not only with convincing arguments but also with a pair of brass knuckles, you're bound to win the debate. ()

The Magic of David Copperfield V: The Statue of Liberty Disappears (2016) (S04E08)

inglés I had to give this episode five stars, despite losing one of my favorite characters. It covered many significant developments that will impact the future storyline and featured intriguing interactions between characters. Gabriel's mention of a seven-month pause at the end was alarming, but I was relieved when the show condensed it into a few seconds — a feat even David Copperfield would admire. ()

The Day After (2016) (S04E09)

inglés Not a bad episode, but it wasn't as eventful as I'm used to even thought William's reaction to Phillip's vacation cracked me up. With the current developments, I’m expecting a lot more action and tension in the next episode. ()

Munchkins (2016) (S04E10)

inglés I didn't experience any crazy actions, but the atmosphere was intense again and the tension pleasantly increased. As I observe it, the fourth season treats the established characters quite cruelly, I'm curious to see how far the creators will let the situation go, so that we won't be missing them. ()
