I don’t know what I was thinking, watching a horror movie over lunch. I was quite lucky that this film isn’t scary at all. And the only reason to watch it is Michael Shannon. He really isn’t a bad actor and it’s a pity that he keeps pigeon-holing himself in nonsense movies like this one. ()
The Harvest isn't a film that will scare you with jump scares, but it will frighten you with its atmosphere. It will grip you with what's happening and how people act when they are in a crisis situation and when they want to help their child at all costs. Michael Shannon once again shows what a great actor he is and here, where there is no need to overact, he plays a surprisingly calm character. His skills are in the right place once again. ()
