Sinopsis(1)

When a dysfunctional gang's prison breakout goes violently wrong, they need a hideout in a hurry. Picking the McMansion of a middle-class family in the suburbs seems like a safe bet, until it becomes clear that this particular family has reintroduced some very old-fashioned cuisine to their table. Will the Tans escape the trap, or is there gangster in the casserole tonight? A gruesomely funny, no-holds-barred comedy with style to burn, Fresh Meat will leave you hungry for more. (Tribeca Film)

inglés A great mix of action, horror, black comedy, pink sexy shorts and even lesbian schoolgirls. The pace is fierce, something is always happening, the film moves forward quickly and there's even some decent gore to look forward to! It's a cool flick that is meant to entertain the audience with its craziness, absurdity and it worked for me !:) I must also praise the very unconventional visuals and CGI. Funny, bloody, sexy and very crazy! I'd like to be in a horror movie like that some day. Guilty pleasure. 70%. ()

inglés Though Fresh Meat is enticing with a number of trashy delights and its exaggerated, hyper-stylised form, it’s actually the equivalent of a sitcom rather than a proper trash flick. The majority of the film takes place in one setting and, despite the comic-bookishly overwrought elements, it stands entirely on the performances of the actors, who in this case do a fine job of balancing the genre stylisation of trash with sitcom affectation. Fresh Meat does not aspire to do anything more than give its viewers a bit of mind candy along the lines of ordinary television series, which it does flawlessly. The dramaturgy wrings the maximum out of the simple plot as it maintains the pace by regularly jumping between the individual motifs. It’s especially necessary to appreciate how the filmmakers manage to raise expectations and to create suspense, though not in terms of the horror or thriller genre, but at the level of voyeuristic pleasure of the lesbian romance, which actually becomes the film’s main attraction in the climax. inglés Unfortunately, the film tries to change into something entirely different in its second half compared to the first. Suddenly, it becomes overly serious, which ultimately leads to a strange filmic schizophrenia. Not to mention that the screenplay is so cluttered that it's hard to watch properly because it tries too hard. It's a shame because the initial idea (cannibals + home invasion) wasn't bad at all. ()
