A victory of form over content? Wonderfully filmed, badly acted and long-winded, underscored by the beautiful music of Kenji Kawai and a surprisingly good atmosphere. This was evidently low-budget, but maybe because of this the visuals have a certain charm. If Oshi had filmed it as an anime instead, it might have been better. This way give it a low 3/5. ()
Avalon did not impress me either in form or content. It felt terribly empty to me, emphasizing how it looks, but in reality, even the visual aspect isn't outstanding; it's just interesting. I'm not a big gamer, but I'm not far from it either, yet this movie felt like it was targeted at someone completely different. I don't know who. ()
