A film with great ideas - a bag containing something intriguing, a mafia boss insisting the killer follows rules, and other characters all after that bag. This is simply well-executed, and lately, Cusack has been excelling in such ambivalent, darker roles. Robert De Niro is a bit cliché in this, but he has godly hair. However, as the film progresses, everything falls apart at the seams. The characters stop making sense, they become unnecessary, and the story ends very predictably. Another missed opportunity.
