This intimate psychological thriller about Kerttu Nuorteva, a Soviet spy with Finnish nationality, is based on real events that took place during the Finnish Continuation War in 1941-1944. The core of the film are dialogues and brilliant acting. The static cinematography alludes to the best of the Bergmanian tradition. (Summer Film School)
