A beautiful story, based on true events, that celebrates the character of Jean Gaspard Debureau, or Jan Kašpar Debrio if you prefer. However, it is a celebration of theater and acting in general, which is evident in the captivating performances. I didn't believe that a three-hour film from 1945, especially French and with a similar theme, would hold my attention the entire time, but "Děti ráje" truly succeeded in doing so. ()
