Shinichi (Shota Sometani) es un adolescente normal y corriente que vive con sus padres en un tranquilo barrio de Tokio. Una noche llegan a la Tierra unos gusanos del espacio llamados Parásitos, cuyo plan es introducirse en los seres humanos a través de los oídos para poder controlar el cerebro y así dominar el mundo. Mientras Shinichi duerme, un Parásito intenta entrar en su cuerpo, pero al haberse dormido con los auriculares puestos lo hace a través de la mano derecha. El proceso se interrumpe y el alien queda atrapado sólo pudiendo controlar la mano derecha de Shinichi. A partir de ese momento adolescente y alien, que adoptará el nombre de Migi, se ven obligados a convivir en el mismo cuerpo. Mientras tanto, en el resto del mundo, los Parásitos continúan su conquista, dejando a Shinichi y Migi como una extraña pareja que no encaja en ninguno de los bandos en guerra. (Mediatres Estudio)

Ah, the Japanese. For a while, you won't know if it's a comedy or a film for the whole family. In just a moment, though, you'll be assured that this really isn't for the family. It has gore that no horror movie would be ashamed of. Plus, the digital special effects are truly well-done, and I usually don't appreciate them much. I'm definitely curious about the second part.

Out of great concern, a very pleasant surprise in the end. I was lured to the film by the positive feedback from Japan and I certainly don't regret it. The film has perfect visuals and a solid idea and theme. Parasites infect a town, choose hosts that feed on human flesh, but the main character is infected by an alien parasite in his hand instead of his brain and they become friends, ironically working together to eliminate the rest of the infected. I commend the very original monster and some impressive scenes, especially the one with the dismembered bodies of the dead schoolgirls, there's a bit of gore, but I would have liked a bit more gore, but thumbs up, I'm looking forward to the second part as well. 65%
