It feels and looks like a (rightfully) forgotten Latino Trash from the 1970s, and I don’t mean this as a compliment. If you are into this kind of poetics, you’ll probably like it. I only liked two or three of the stories, which is very little. ()
I was looking forward to Barbarous Mexico since the first trailer, but unfortunately it looks like a horror movie from a shabby VHS. The plot is bland and the stories have no twists, everything looks horrible and amateurish, there’s hardly any gore, the entertainment is non-existent and the stories are not very imaginative. Perhaps only the Troll was worth 3*. Compared to Southbound this is a bad joke or a dream. 30%. ()
