inglés My expectations of the fourth season weren’t high. I expected another celebration of a person who I hadn’t been very fond of from the outset, but the creators had a massive surprise in store for me. I find this series impressive for its neutral approach. It looks at things from different angles, and everyone gets their share of criticism (or sympathy). It's impossible not to mention again Gillian Anderson's great performance as Margaret Thatcher, which I really enjoyed. Now I can officially look forward to the fifth season. ()

inglés Season 4 of The Crown sticks to its five-star standard. Ten episodes packed with emotion, stunning music, and unforgettable performances. Whoever cast Gillian Anderson as the Iron Lady deserves major props. And Emma Corrin is an uncanny match for Diana. Honestly, I felt so much for Diana in this season; she never really fit into that royal family with her joyful, carefree spirit. Plus, Charles didn’t deserve her—Camilla’s just so... ordinary. For three seasons, The Crown painted Charles as this guy we should sympathize with, and then in this one, they really take him down a peg. I’m not here to judge the royal family, but this season definitely got me in my feelings. The standout episodes were "Fagan" and "The Hereditary Principle," where Helena Bonham Carter (always amazing) absolutely owned her role as Princess Margaret. ()

inglés The fourth season is considerably better than the third. It is, of course, shot in an almost identical, i.e. functional, style and is therefore still the same balanced cocktail. But its set a decade later and it addresses stronger and more intense themes and issues. Namely the "reign" of the Iron Lady and, of course, the swelling problems surrounding Prince Charles and his controversial love life. ()
