We still have Daddy day Care at home on the original VHS, and I remember that even back then this film made a rather mediocre impression on me. The premise isn't downright bad, but the execution is a bit dull, and not even the solid performances from Eddie Murphy, Steve Zahn and Anjelica Huston can save it. Jeff Garlin struck me then, as he does now, as a very bad actor-comedian. The kids are mostly annoying, and the lesson about the importance of family is a nice one, but in this case quite cheaply served. Better two stars! ()
An outrageously embarrassing affair, which I would definitely not let a kid watch because of the huge dose of stupid, unfunny toilet humour. Murphy is only average, but that's the only plus the film offers, despite Huston's involvement. ()
