La historia se centra en la vida de Tevye (Topol), un lechero judío, aferrado a sus tradiciones familiares y religiosas, que vive en un pintoresco pueblecito de Ucrania en la época pre-revolucionaria. Fiel a sus creencias, Tevye tendrá que enfrentarse a sus hijas, reacias a seguir las costumbres matrimoniales de la época. La mentalidad de Tevye empieza a cambiar cuando él y sus vecinos se ven forzados a abandonar el pueblo, presionados por los partidarios del Zar. (Movistar+)
