The second season keeps the humor going strong and introduces new characters, both good and bad, that are all intriguing. I breezed through this season just as easily as the first.

With its second season, Santa Clarita Diet proves that its creators have done something that perfectly fits both the genres of comedy and horror plus crime drama. There is a very active policewoman after them, and even within that particular genre, they manage to turn the classic elements on their head. I would not have expected to have enjoyed Drew Barrymore as much as I did, but Timothy Olyphant and Barrymore simply had great on-screen chemistry.
