1985. La estación soviética no tripulada Salyut-7, en órbita alrededor de la Tierra, es un orgullo para la industria espacial de la URSS. De repente, se pierde la comunicación con el centro de control. La posible caída de la estación puede acabar en una catástrofe en la que pierdan la vida muchas personas. Dos astronautas son enviados para acceder a la estación y descubrir qué ha ocurrido, en una arriesgada misión sin precedentes en la historia de la navegación espacial. (A Contracorriente Films)

Russia's answer to America's Gravity. The Russians are certainly not doing badly at all. Technically they're excellent, the acting is decent too, and there are a few tense scenes. But there was something missing for a higher rating for me. A solid 65% ()
Visually, Salyut 7 was made very well. I also liked the narrative style supported by the appropriate musical accompaniment. It was really suspenseful at times, subtly touching, and also a bit funny. However, I would expect the Russians to avoid having an American-style ending. (75%) ()
