“Es pura aritmética. El dinero se divide mejor en dos partes que en tres”, explica con mucha labia el forajido Ben Vandergroat a sus captores, tres caza recompensas unidos por el azar. Le llevan para entregarle a la justicia en Abilene, pero Ben tiene otros planes. Minimal gunfights, minimal action, lots of conversation, and only a few actors. Yet Anthony Mann directed one of the best westerns (or at least one that easily ranks among the best) because he understood that even a western can be about people and that it will work with them. James Stewart is excellent in the role of the unpleasant guy, which I wouldn't have believed before seeing the film.
