Casi el único problema que tengo con esta película es que el estilo y la premisa argumental recuerda mucho a I Origins, de cuatro años antes. Mucho. Es como si se hubiera introducido un tema y unos personajes diferentes en el mismo esqueleto argumental. Por lo demás, Clara es en principio una película agradable y sin conflictos, fácil de ver y técnicamente impecable. Supongo que encontrará fácilmente un público entusiasta. [Sitges 2018]

Clara could be compared to the civilian sci-fi films Another Earth and I Origins by Mike Cahill. In many aspects, these films are similar, except that Clara uses sci-fi elements only minimally and rather focuses on the emotional level, making it primarily a romantic drama that may push the boundaries at times. I enjoyed the first half more, in the second half it lost a bit of its momentum and the subsequent finale didn't have the desired effect on me. It may not be as good as Mike Cahill's aforementioned films, but it's definitely worth watching.
