Casi el único problema que tengo con esta película es que el estilo y la premisa argumental recuerda mucho a I Origins, de cuatro años antes. Mucho. Es como si se hubiera introducido un tema y unos personajes diferentes en el mismo esqueleto argumental. Por lo demás, Clara es en principio una película agradable y sin conflictos, fácil de ver y técnicamente impecable. Supongo que encontrará fácilmente un público entusiasta. [Sitges 2018]

Clara can be compared to Mike Cahill's indie sci-fi films like Another Earth and I, Origins. They share a lot of similarities, but Clara uses sci-fi elements sparingly, focusing more on the emotional aspects. This makes it primarily a romantic drama that sometimes feels a bit heavy-handed. I enjoyed the first half a lot more; the second half lost some of its momentum, and the finale didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It’s not as good as Cahill’s films, but it’s still worth watching.
