inglés One of the reasons why the general public began to swear at romantic comedies was because of the numerous reruns of this movie on afternoon TV, the impossible idiot Julia Roberts, the incomprehensibly ragged Richard Gere, and the worn-out Garry Marshall in the director's chair with a stunning lack of fresh ideas. What surprises me the most is that Runaway Bride practically stands out from its genre: there's barely any romance in it, and it ends up being more of a comedy, almost unintentionally. ()

inglés I'm enjoying the negative reactions, even though it's absolutely as over-sweetened a romcom as Pretty Woman, and surprisingly with a slightly more realistic basis. Richard is good, while Julia again does a very good job of playing someone completely different than usual and this is in no way a copy of Vivian, so what are you on about? That the prince finally got a marriage proposal from the princess? Oh, God. ()
