The martyr's death of Herbert Norkus, a young Hitlerjugend member, soon became the subject of Our Flags Lead Us Forward, a propagandist film financed by the Nazi party. This pressing and highly intensive film by director Hans Steinhoff tells the story of a young man who, despite unfavourable conditions at home and the hatred of the people around him, finds his way to NSDAP's youth organisation.
