inglés Crime series directed by Filip Renč and with a good mix of actors from the Czech scene. I don't know what I expected, but at least I hoped to relax and be glad to see some actors in something new with Medusa's Head. In the end, the first episode really pissed me off. The worst kind of sloppiness. Regular criminal B movie. I really didn't like Jitka Čvančarová's main role. Her toughness combined with the cap seemed like a terrible pose to me and I was disappointed. I really like her otherwise, as well as the other actors. But while Jirka Dvořák was okay, Michal Ištěník spoke (or rather squeaked) as if someone had pinched his balls. But since I know him from "Most" and currently watch him in "Kukačky", I know that this is not his usual way of speaking, and I don't know what led him to it. Since the first episode, the creators also introduce a side plot with the young Heřmánek, which not only was unnecessary, but also damn bad. It wasn't even B movie anymore. However, to be gender-balanced, I must also say a few compliments. The best episode was definitely the sixth, where the role of Marek Vašut somehow clicked for me, probably because he was pouring one beer after another, and really elevated the story. But what's the use if the previous episode set at a fashion show begins with a murder scene of a model, where a terribly bad cover version of "Born Slippy" by Underworld is playing, which probably also speaks volumes about the whole series. I never want to see it again in my life, and I am sorry for a number of actors that they put effort into this. But well... life goes on, and next time I'll see them in something better. Still, it remains true that Filip Renč is a damn routine worker. ()
