The second installment of this French miniseries once again surprised me, primarily with the acting performances. Laurent Lucas as the investigator delivered an outstanding performance on all fronts, but it was especially the main suspect who impressed me with a realistic portrayal of someone suspected of murder. The ending was surprising and quite powerful in certain moments. The French know their craft, there’s no doubt about it. I give it 75%.
