El procrastinador en serie Teddy (Rafe Spall) cree que tiene todo el tiempo del mundo, pero tras un extraño encuentro con una desconocida (Noni Hazlehurst) se despierta la mañana siguiente a su boda para descubrir que ha saltado un año en su vida, hasta su primer aniversario. Su esposa Leanne (Zahra Newman) está ahora muy embarazada, con un año completo de matrimonio a sus espaldas que él no recuerda haber vivido. Atrapado en un ciclo de saltos temporales, transportado un año más adelante cada pocos minutos, Teddy se enfrenta a una carrera contra el tiempo mientras su vida se desmorona a su alrededor. Con la ayuda de su mejor amigo Sam (Ronny Chieng), Teddy trata de reconstruir el rumbo de su vida y, a medida que ésta pasa ante sus ojos, debe aprender a vivir los momentos preciosos para recuperar a la mujer que ama, aunque sea por un segundo. A likeable romantic comedy that playfully uses the trendy theme of the time loop and slightly varies it. The main here character does not repeat a day, but each day for him means a year has passed, which is quite original and unconventional, and the whole film builds on it and benefits from it. Every day the main character explores what has changed in the last year and it's funny and at times emotionally sad. The actors are likeable, the idea is great, the emotion and wit works, the dialogue is top notch. A very feel good genre film. 7.5/10

Far more of a romantic drama with a point about the importance of living life and wasting time than an entertaining comedy, but thanks to the original idea, the film is quite engaging within its limitations. The cards are dealt from the beginning, the twist is clearly laid out and the ending is predictable, but the film is sensitive, brisk, emotionally functioning towards the end and somehow works as a one-off.
