The American movie The Passing is something that is definitely not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. More than anything else, it portrays the ordinary life of characters on the street, people you may not even like very much, and this all works to make you feel uncomfortable. It is designed to affect you negatively, which made the movie extremely fascinating, in my opinion.

The Irish movie Red Room is an example of bad movie-making, even though the subject matter is usually quite rewarding in horror because so much could be got from it. Overall, however, this movie is just a load of weird crap that is wannabe brutal even though it was made like a very bad television movie. It is a real shame because this could have had some real potential.

The American movie Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred is a movie made for a specific target audience, which definitely does not include me. It is quite dumb and simplistic, and it plays on the fact that there is a character who is somehow special. However, I do not think that is really enough, and it is not even very funny, plus it is quite uneventful. Sure I am not part of its target audience, but it still felt like a cop-out.

The Italian horror movie Night Killer is quite trashy. They made a horror movie that just blatantly ripped off anything it wanted and yet, in the end, still made something that is somewhat original. Although the acting performances are truly awful, it comes across as an utterly ridiculous movie, underneath there is a story that is not completely straightforward, so it has the right spirit at least.

The American movie The Keep is not considered Michael Mann's finest work, although I think it boldly ranks among the director's best movies. Sure, it has its weaknesses, although I enjoyed the mood it evoked more than other newer movies with better cinematography and higher definition images. As a result, I was mesmerized by The Keep.

The American movie Pentagram is an example of how sometimes a simple idea just is not enough, even if it is quite interesting. It takes considerable skill to make a movie that is easy to watch, and I did not get that with Pentagram as it is a very sluggish movie that drags its heels.

The American movie Reel Nightmare is forgettable as it is nothing special. If you watch it, well, that is on you, although you will immediately get why that decision was a bad idea. In fact, you may even start forgetting it in the middle of actually watching it is that bad. It is amazing that people can get away with making whatever they want these days, including this rubbish.

American horror movie Trailer Park of Terror is just the kind of lightweight horror movie that uses something sinister to scare you. It is an easy-to-watch, average, inoffensive movie but is hardly thrilling. However, the revelations about the characters at the trailer park are pretty good, although you have to wade through some uninteresting parts to get to that point.

The Italian science-fiction horror movie Robowar is one of those productions that simply does not care about ripping something off and becoming successful off the back of someone else's work, and the result is very bad indeed. However, on the other hand, channels like SyFy or Asylum do the same thing, albeit not as successfully. Of course, it is a bad B-movie, although it is still quite easy to watch despite that.

The American movie Verotika provides us with its own take on a horror anthology. I found Verotika to be rather repulsive, and I am not talking about the gore. Glenn Danzig is primarily a musician, and what he has produced is clearly an example of why he should stick to the day job, as his movie will only appeal to either die-hard fans or viewers who like really crap movies.
